Compact cars, minis or hatchbacks are the usual terms. It looks too large to be a mini or a compact car though. I noticed when we were in London that there were a lot of car models that I'd never heard of or seen. Most of the models were smaller cars and you know we Americans like our land yachts, which probably explains why the smaller models weren't being sold in the U.S.

Oh that is clever! I liked it. I've never heard of that type of car though.
I don't think many 'European' cars are sold on that side of the Atlantic. I think you call this type sub-compact don't you? [grin].
We call 'em 'city cars' I think [not being a driver I don't really keep up on the terminology].
