I'm pretty sure its a model squirrel dressed up. Personally I hardly ever assume that a picture hasn't been tampered with in some way.
I've never trusted those squirrely types, especially after watchin' them busily gathering nuts on the Sabbeth. They're definitely in league with the devil.
