If that were on a bumper sticker here, the car would be smashed. I'm frequently bothered by religious people making laws according to their religion but they won't consider anyone else's point of view. They insist our Country was founded on Christian principles which gives them carte blanche to turn this country into a Christian theocracy. There's no point in telling them it was founded on "freedom from religion" as much as "freedom of religion" because the founding people who came to this country, came from Europe to escape religious persecution. Then they turned right around and burned people at the stake for not subscribing to their religion. Oh well.

Europe has *so* many advantages..... [grin]

I suppose it might have something to do with all of the religious wars we've all gone through over here which makes any kind of religious State apparatus a big no-no. Been there, done that, suffered the consequences.... As a result religion has largely become a personal issue and not one backed up by the power of the State. Hence no one can force us to believe *anything*. It seems to work quite well - on the whole.

With my attitude I'd hate to live 'over there' and would probably have moved to England by now, Lucky for me I was actually born here!
