This is one of those XKCD cartoons I have to keep in mind constantly. (The other is the one which shows several characters on a train, all thinking about how happy they are to be the only sane person in a trainload of sheep.)

Yep, I think we've all went through that stage (with occasional relapses). But, eventually you figure out that those wrong people rarely change their minds and even if they did, other wrong people would fill the void. The world has an endless supply of wrong people. We had an idea that was the case in the age before computers, but the Internet removed all doubt.

I have learnt that there is no point in arguing with idiots - and that there are countless numbers of them. Life is *far* too short for that kind of thing.
