It amazes me how much more meaningful Calvin and Hobbes are now as an adult -- and I wonder how I managed not to NOTICE questions like the ones raised here. Did I just skip over some strips to get to the latest adventures of Calvin and G.R.O.S.S.?
I've loved the anarchic humour of Calvin for ages. It definitely speaks to something in me. But they are really philosophical at times (whilst at the same time being hilarious) which I think is a real talent.
Come for the jokes but stay for the rumination! Bit like my Blog really..... [grin]

I miss Calvin and Hobbs, as well as Bloom County.
