I've been in some of those where I thought it was love, and he thought I was his fuck buddy. Tragic.
I sometimes think that when two people are in a relationship that they're not actually in the *same* relationship - but in two closely associated relationships that overlap in several places. The more overlap the more successful the relationship.
That's an interesting idea; I think you're probably right.
