it's a conundrum: France, Mexico, or Canada... or maybe ENGLAND...

I have a recording of one of Sinatra and Dean Martin's performances, and when they're goofing around it's easy to pick out her --- distinctive --- laugh from the audience!

By the by, I just saw this list and figured I'd pass it along to you as a fellow Titanic reader:

Thanks for that. I'd heard of most of them except the two nonsensical ones:

Titanic‘s Hull Number Spelled Out ‘No Pope’
The Mummy Of Amen-Ra...

What the what now.....??? [lol]

I've heard of the No Pope one, as well as a rumor that the Titanic hadn't been properly christened. That bit about the mummy is new to me and would make a great novel/movie, I think..

Mummies on a Boat?

It'd make an interesting added horror variation to the story anyway!

Personally I think it just hit an iceberg and sank. Seems to fit the facts.... Although I do think you can date the fall of Western Civilisation from that event... Probably..

To that event? Why not...say, the mobilization of European armies for The Great War?

I think it was the beginning. A loss of faith in the future, a shock to the system, a reality check. We'd probably have learnt from it and gone on to greater things but 2 years later we had WW1. We never really recovered from that catastrophe...... The Titanic was the stumble. WW1 was the knockout blow.
