Ansel knew as well as anyone that politicians, in addition to being power mad and greedy, were dumb as rocks... i wish i knew why almost all politicians end up that way... at least on this side of the pond...

Having worked to get a number of politicians elected, I found they all had huge egos that needed stroking. They all had people smarts and had a real gift for schoomzing and manipulating peple into doing what they wanted, think slicker than a used car salesman. Some had good intentions, but sooner or later, the power, money, and adulation became addictive. I support term limits to get them out of office as they turn. It's the rare person who goes in as a public servant and remains that way.
