@ Fred: Local sourcing/food miles (or whatever they're calling it these days) is a big thing all over. I can see some of the point but I pick food for the quality/taste etc rather than where it was grown. If it costs more I'm happy to pay more.
@ Mudpuddle: Definitely Free Range - at least they are around here....
The problem with kids is they're full of preservatives these days. You have to go out into the country to find organically-fed kiddos, which means you burn gasoline. It's a catch-22..

That's funny! Around here, local sourcing is the hot advertising come-on for restaurants today.
