overly simplistic, maybe... thinking instead of emotional reaction might be better than either...

That's assuming fear comes from a place of weakness and anger from a place of power, but really, fear causes you to think of solutions and consequences, anger causes you to react without thinking, which can get you killed.

good, VV... also, fear causes anxiety which is commonly expressed in aggression... hummm maybe anger IS fear... or the expression thereof...

Emotions are funny things - fear can be a motivation to do amazingly brave things or close you down and get you killed where a modicum of action could save you. Likewise anger can blow up in your face, bring on a stroke/heart attack, or quietly motivate you to go for the long haul and change something no one thought possible - all fueled by low level long term anger (at social injustice for example). I guess it all depends what you do with them and who controls who.
