I've only ever seen Star Destroyers fire forward....Kirk could just come in close, under their big guns, and take out their shield generators from behind. The E is definitely more maneuverable than those those behemoths...
@ Mudpuddle: The ship in the foreground is the starship Enterprise 1701-A as seen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The ship in front of it is an Imperial Star Destroyer from the Star Wars universe.
@ Stephen: The guys had a discussion about this last night. We were pretty much agreed that the Enterprise would rip the Star Destroyer a new one in very short order. A quick scan, some targeted phaser fire at the shield generators and then a brace of photon torpedoes and it'd all be over.
