Most definitely. Oddly, although I could read well before I went to school, I only started reading voraciously from my early teens. I've spent over 40 years trying to catch up on lost time.
I remember having to argue with my teacher that I could read at a higher level than she thought I should be able to. It took some convincing but eventually she let me read anything they had.

I started reading at 3. Eleanor did too. I've read to her since she was a fetus, I wanted to make sure she came out right - and indeed, she did!
