@ Mudpuddle: My shoe shopping consists of cruising shoe shop windows for a while until I see something I like. Walking inside, checking the price (at which point I usually leave!), asking if they have it in my size, then buying them and leaving. I certainly don't try anything on - most certainly not multiple somethings...
@ Sarah: I used to wear platform shoes (called 'stack heels') in the 70's. I remember vividly one time accidentally stepping inside my 'turn ups' with a heel and nearly killing myself on a long staircase @ High school. Plus there was NO way you can actually run in them! Luckily they were pretty cheaply made so didn't last very long! [lol]
Oh yes, no running for sure! I have seen pictures from the seventies of family/friends in platform shoes and do giggle a bit. So glad you did not perish on those stairs!!
