LOL! I started going to our favorite library branch when Eleanor was still a fetus. I'd go in every Saturday and walk out with 40 books and the librarians got to now me well. After Eleanor was born I took her to the Baby story times, then the kids' story times. At 18 months/two though, she was interested in running around, giggling, and shrieking for joy at all the books. Many librarians helped me corral her more than once. She has literally grown up in that library and everyone knows her. As staff changes over, getting to know the new ones makes it a new adventure all over again, it makes my heart so happy <3
Sounds EXCELLENT. How lucky you are having that kind of library close to you! The last library I had a lot of interaction with was in a (mostly) working class area so I can only guess that they were happy that someone was taking out so many books and ordering so many others! They were VERY tolerant of my ways, bless them.
