Reminds me of the bad 'ol days when I was on dialup but most online players had already switched to broadband. By the time I got the map downloaded (Elite Force allowed downloading maps/assets through the game, unlike Armada which I think would just return an error if you tried playing on a map you didn't have), they'd have already moved on to another map/game. I'm loving my new ISP -- the last few times I've had to update The Sims 4, stuff that would have taken a half hour or hour is done in just five minutes or so. Definitely worth the extra $30/month.

Oh, I remember THOSE days! [lol] If I had a big download (not by todays standards) I'd either leave it running overnight or start it in the morning and leave it downloading when I'm at work. These days I just let it do its things and it doesn't take that long. I just checked my speed and it registered 383Mbps which is about average for me. A friend of mine who doesn't live in a world of buffering has about 3x that.
