No New Year Resolutions from ME... [lol]

I’ve never stuck to any New Year’s resolution, so no point in making them. I have stuck to our “year of doing” ambitions. The year of saying yes. The year of having adventures. The year of doing things I would never do. Those have been fun.

I'm fond of goals setting.. "resolution" is too strong a word for me. ;)

@ V V: I like your 'year of doing' idea. It takes a lot of performance anxiety/pressure off things!

@ Marian: Goals are good. Resolutions do seem a bit restrictive/constrictive. These days I mostly have *reading* goals - and maybe the odd health goal! [grin]

This is the year of stopping to just enjoy our lives. No pursuits, just be and enjoy. 🥰

I think my bank would get suspicious, as well. LOL

@ V V: Just BE. Sounds relaxing! [grin]

@ Marianne: Banks can be funny that way - as if its *their* money... [lol]

I also like the idea of the "year of doing". I think I've lived that most of my life.

As to the banks, I mean, in this case they just look after me because they know I would not join a gym. LOL

One of my sons, however, has been going to the gym for over a decade - at least. He always says it's almot impossible to go in January because of all the newcomers. But they disappear again in February.

It's the same for jogging. This time of year you see at least 2 or 3 times the number of usual joggers puffing their way around a course... Then in February it drops back to normal - and then picks up (a bit) during the summer months as people get 'beach fit', before dropping again to the background level of dedicated nuts..

I never make resolutions. I only make my book/reading goals.

Very sensible, Sarah!!

True, there are more people jogging (as my other son experiences) but it doesn't get as crowded. LOL.

My main gaming friend was saying last night that at his gym he's finding getting time on the various machines is more difficult ATM. So I just said: wait 4-6 weeks, it'll be fine.

That's what I hear from my son. He doesn't go that often in January. Just too crowded with people who don't know anything. (He actually used another word, beginning with sh... but I won't write that here. LOL)
