Infrastructure matters... Here we've certainly experienced decades (or even centuries) of chronic underinvestment - but that's mostly companies skimming off profits without putting enough (or anything) back in.

100%. I would gladly pay more taxes if it meant that the money would help those who most need it here, but it doesn't. It's insane. I hate it here (You know I will always find a way to quote Taylor Swift, lol, but I think that song applies quite nicely to this situation).

Definitely can't argue with the latter part of that. Billions sent abroad while our interstates, pipes, and bridges are falling apart.

Well, its kind of a given (or *should* be) that taxes are for the benefit OF the taxed.... You know, roads, hospitals, social housing....
...yet here we are. Blech.
