This kind of reminds me of all the TikToks I see of people taking pictures with guards at Buckingham Palace. Horses just KNOW when someone is a good person, and they act accordingly. There was a young Indigenous woman who stood near one, and the horse immediately turned toward her and nuzzled her face. Then there was the jerk who was trying to get way to close and was promptly bit on the shoulder.
I do LIKE horses. When I went to college back in the late 70's the easiest way to get there was by train. Our station was, for some weird reason, in the middle of nowhere but it was fun getting on/off there because there was a nearby field with horses in it. They were super friendly and were always up for a pat on the side and a 'chat'.
