Unfortunately, its not a mega-city but a small village in Nottinghamshire - pop 1,567. Apparently 'Gotham' is "goat home" in Old English.
Still, if you tell someone how live in Gotham, they'll think you made it up.
I wonder how many other fictional/fantasy/mystical places exist it 'real life' somewhere? [grin]
