Trump has been consistently bone-headed and MIGA-oriented when it comes to Iran. I read a report recently that the only demographics that substantially supports Israel is the Boomers: they're starting to die off, so Israel is in a now-or-never spot. If it wants to grab America by the short hairs and force us into helping it destroy Iran's government -- and evidently word that Israel was going to act regardless is what led Trump & Rubio to green-light this -- it has to do that now. Israel-skepticism is substantial in Millennials and Zoomers on both sides of the aisle.
The top 3 greatest dangers to world peace right now are the US, Israel & Russia in that order. The whole US/Israel 'relationship' is bizarre and, as you say, more and more people seem to have had enough of it (about time!).
