I've seen this one! Brian Fagan used it as the cover for his Little Ice Age book.

Ah, yes. The Little Ice Age - proof positive that Global Warming is a Myth! [rotflmao]

Just me moving into Winter Mode here @ SaLT. More to come....

I've never heard the little ice age used against global warming. Several books in Fagan's bibliography ar eon how climate change has disrupted or otherwise impacted human history, with famines and plagues and such. I've read at least three: The Little Ice Age, The Great Warming, and Floods, Famines and Emperors. That latter was on El Nino. The topics he chooses are interesting, but the delivery is dry so I don't take him on too often.

It'll be a while yet before we in Alabama can feel remotely wintry...it was 75 (23 C) degrees yesterday. Of course, it will be 44 (6 C) on Monday. Our winters are like television shows...we get little commercials for them for several months before winter FINALLY arrives in Jan-Feb.

These days we get wet and cool weather rather than proper winters. 7C/45F here today and (so far) misty but that'll go later. We do have the occasional snow fall but they're few and far between and usually disappear in 24 hours.
