OK - You're going to have to explain that one! [grin]

Have you ever watched that show? I have zero interest in vampires and such, but Joss Whedon did it, it was produced long ago enough to inspire nostalgia, and so I'm tempted.

it doesn't make a lot of sense... in The Music Man(a sixties musical featuring "76 trombones", one of the characters is named Marianne the Librarian; she is a point of distraction for the hero, who is supposed to be doing other more important things(i forget her name); and "trouble in river city"(the town is near a river) is the way the problem is designated... very far fetched, i know... i'll try to be more specific in the future... well, maybe, anyway...

@ Stephen: LOL - Have I ever watched it? It was only 6-7 of the best TV years of my life. I could quote whole episodes and play all of the characters from memory.... especially Giles of course. I didn't even have to put on an accent [snigger] It's well worth watching if you've never got into it before. It's a little dated now and the first series wobbled a bit but it got better damned fast. The dialogue is amazing and often incredibly funny.

@ Mudpuddle: Right...... THAT'S why it didn't make sense - no common frame of reference!

Maybe I'll give it a go this October, then! I like Whedon, and I like the red-head...Hannigan, I think her name was. She appeared on How I Met Your Mother.
