I definitely can't read in a car - FAR too much movement! I taught myself to read on trains (after MUCH effort) and can easily read on planes. I think on long journeys I'd go mad if it wasn't for my book!
Reading on a train used to make me ill. But what I started doing - driven by boredom - was reading up to the point of starting to feel sick and then stopping.... wait for a few minutes and then try again. After a while the gap between reading and feeling ill got longer & longer... and now I can read on trains!

I wish I could read on planes. I can't read on planes or in cars or I will get atrociously sick.

Lucky! My motion sickness is so bad and it is utterly depressing. It's worst in a car but trains are also a no-go for me for sure.
