[lol] It's a mess, isn't it? Its the French Pre-Dreadnought battleship 'Carnot'. You can see that the new Dreadnought's were a *radical* departure that this design. No wonder they made every other ship obsolete overnight!
The ship must have been an absolute nightmare to fight in. But I don't think that many such ships saw much action. The only set-piece battle I can think of involving pre-Dreadnoughts like this was Tsushima where the Russians got trounced by the Japanese.

I can't figure out if this one is in dire trouble or acting within normal parameters.

Assuming each of those port-holes is a place for guns, I pity the guys inside during a battle or exercising!
