Definitely a point to consider.

Fortunately I never had to 'Zoom' from home. The best part of working from home (for the brief few weeks I did it at the start of Covid) was the ability to play my own music all day...

The woman in the bunny slippers made me laugh. We had a 'Wrong Trousers' day @ work - one day a year - and a few people came in dressed in PJ bottoms... No fuzzy slippers though (that I can remember).

My son has been working from home since March 2020. The company has sold most of their building and only kept a few offices. So, as long as he works there, his job will be remote.

I've heard that quite a few places are doing that. Most people don't need to be 'in office' every day. It makes sense for companies to downsize their building assets - they're EXPENSIVE! If people can work remotely and 'efficiency' doesn't drop, then why not. I knew a lot of people who preferred working remotely. It seems to be much cheaper for everyone too, which is a bonus.

My other son worked in an office where he had to come to the premises every Tuesday, that was the day for his department. Now he has to see what's going on and then can sometimes stay home.
My eldest son says he can do so much more when home alone, no distractions.

Totally agree on the distractions... In office I must have been interrupted 20+ times a day with people wandering up and asking me things. Even having a BOOK in my hand at lunch didn't stop them!

Only 20 times? You've been lucky. LOL

It was REALLY annoying @ times especially at lunchtime. I used to have my lunch at my desk, eat a sandwich, read a bit, and browse the Web.... I was guaranteed at least one or more interruptions even with my nose FIRMLY pressed into my book! Didn't people realise that this was SACRED time! [lol]

Hubby used to lock his door during lunchtime.

Oh, if ONLY we had doors... [grin] All open plan flooring I'm afraid. Not even tiny cubicles. But at least you could see if the person you wanted to talk to was at their desk or not...

That's bad. But even with his door locked, people would knock and hope he'd open it.
