I think if you ordered just vegetarian options most places would look at your place and go, "Ain't you gonna eat anything else?" There's a gas station nearby where you can get all manner of fried vegetables...and depending on the weather, there WILL be people in pickup trucks selling watermelons, peaches, etc in whatever shady area they find just off the road. There's a gas station near my college campus that's long defunct, but it's a popular place for these ad-hoc farmer's markets.
Eating Veggie on holiday in Spain/Portugal some years back was a.... challenge! Some of the chefs did get inventive though which impressed me. Mostly not a problem these days - although the choices can be VERY limited especially @ Christmas time.
