Oh My God, I hope you are right, dear CK! I just hope that this coming election shows that people are sick and tired of these right wing people who don't seem to care about anything but their own incomes!!!

Would be very reassuring to see a Democrat majority in one or both houses to offset a very Republican President who's own party seem to be showing signs of discomfort with his policies... it's hard to tell from over here in UK how the political map will actually shape - but I suspect that America's "Shoot now, worry about funding later" approach will be curtailed if they have a powerful opposing voice domestically

I do agree with OOLOTH but I'm a bit more pessamistic about the way the US will vote.
By the way it seems a shame that you can only post with a blogger a/c!

Thanks r10b for taking the time for such a lengthy comment. I look forward to debating more religion (and anything else) at a later date.

As to the Republicans... I think I lost faith [grin] in the US electorate when they (apparently)voted Bush & Co in TWICE. I was, to say the least, incredulous. Can they do it again in the Mid-Terms... Sure. Why ever not!

The only thing that's a certainy is that there will be LOT of surprised people whatever happens.

Just got my early ballot in the mail today and will be filling it out ASAP. As my liberal judge friend said the other day, "Vote early ... vote often". I think he was kidding about the "often" part. :-)
