Not far off - the Environment Agency reported that the Severn peaked 2 INCHES below the retaining wall for the electricity station for the city of Gloucester!!

And Tewkesbury is still an island.....

More rain on the way the rest of the week.....

Just in case, I'd invest in a raft and some waterwings...

I did hear a *lot* of hammering going on over the weekend.... Lots of animal noises too....

I wonder what's going on? [looks bemused]

It rained for about the first time in a couple of months here yesterday. Every time, a bunch of morons who've apparently never driven in rain get in accidents. Evolution at work.

This is horrific...! I am so sorry to read of the destruction there in the UK...It is scary for people to be without water and electricity, etc....I never thought I'd say let's pray for the Rain God's to STOP!

DK...A Falcon in your yard! FABULOUS! And I love Hedgehogs...I have a little collection of inanimate Hedgehogs...! I don't think we have them here in the U.S. At least I've never heard of anyopne seeing any here....!

Indeed. Somewhat north of me luckily... and I don't live near any rivers! Apparently we're experiencing the wettest 'Summer' for 240 years. Previously we had the dryest April for 100 years... You've just gotta love the English weather!

I KNOW. I couldn't believe it for a second or two! I grabbed a pair of binoculars so I could watch it without disturbing it. It was a fantastic sight.

That's interesting... they're lovely little creatures. Unfortunately you do tend to see a lot of dead ones by the side of roads so I'm always delighted to see one in the garden. I think I 'recognise' the one I saw yesterday evening. At least he looks 'familiar' [grin].
