Russian sailor WWII era? My first instinct was that it looks more WWI, except in WWI, they didn't arm the Russian boys very well, so it can't be that early, unless this poster is purely the artist's imagination and not based on reality.
Well spotted. I do believe that he's a WW2 Russian Marine.... I think the fact that he's good looking, well fed and heavily armed can be put down to this being a work of Soviet Propaganda...It's very good art though. I like it.
