It's going to be my "Birthday Movie" (my 'gang' have a tradition of a meal & a movie to celebrate people's birthdays).
I have no idea how good the storyline will be but the bits I've seen so far cetainly *look* great. So I am looking forward to it, yes. It's got very good pedegree being directed by the guy who did '300' and 'Watchmen' so I do have a resonable hope that it'll be half decent.... and then again it *is* populated by beautiful young women in leather and short skirts complete with guns and swords - so what's not to like?
Yeah, I'm pretty interested to see it too. Although, being a woman tat is not the least bit attracted to females sexually, I will say that I have a real hard time embracing the whole "tough girl" character. I rarely see it portrayed genuinely to where I actually believe the women are seriously tough. I need to be impressed. I need to believe it. I hate when I can tell a woman is acting tough. It's awful. Angelina Jolie is the perfect example of a woman who has to act tough because she's really not. You know who is tough? Sigorney Weaver in Alien Whats-Her-Name in the Terminator movies Hell, I'll just do a blog post right now. LOL

It's rare - probably because it's fairly rare in real life (at least in the roles we tend to see in action movies) and probably isn't seen as all that profitable by the powers that be?

I'm glad that I can inspire you!

I do feel kind of cheated. After reading SF for the past 40 years I have been led to believe I'd be vacationing on Mars complete with robot girlfriend by now. Whereas what we actually get is a cheap cyberpunk knock-off crossed with a poorly scripted 1984 clone. I'm *so* not impressed by the 'Future'.

Wouldn't that be *so* cool - until you ran out of fuel 5 minutes into your journey and smashed into the ground at several hundred MPH.
