Interesting -- a TV episode with a poster? Or is this a script copy/novelization of the episode?

What a great episode, both from an entertainment point of view and especially from the productive side. They ran out of money, so they took the pilot -- which had different sets, costumes, camera work -- and some how integrated it in with a few hours of regular filming to save the show! The producers got two episodes out of an old pilot, and the fans were treated to something enormously different, a kind of look 'back into time' that seemed credible because it was so obviously different.

I thought you might find this interesting [grin]

I don't think it's an officially produced poster but something more fan based. I downloaded a few a few weeks ago whilst searching for other stuff.

It's a great episode and has to be one of my favourites. I love ST:OS above all the later series. It was obviously made on a shoestring back then but had a lot of heart and honestly good story lines.

Have you seen the original pilot? It's really bad! I'm not surprised they asked for a rewrite! The second pilot is 100x better and really works. I also lived the old style phasers that you twisted to up their power. Serious low-tech!

Of course one of the interesting things - that they dropped for the show - was a female 2nd officer. Apparently despite everything else the show did, this one thing was seen as unbelievable!!!
