Christmas stuff starts around the same time as Halloween and Guy Fawkes which I always find amusing as they compete for shelf space. Although that all settles down after 4th Nov. After that it's Christmas all the way until (I think) we hit the Valentine's 'rush' in mid Jan.

In America, anyway. When does the rush begin in the UK? Surely you don't celebrate Puritans and turkeys a month before... :p
(I don't know why southerners do, come to think of it. We weren't settled by Puritans! Our lot were Scotch-Irish Presbyterians, Germans, or blacks...)
