I haven't seen or heard much about the new film, so I really don't know what to expect. Is it a remake or some sort of a sequel set in the same universe?
'Bladerunner 2049' is a continuation of the story 30 years later - including a Harrison Ford (playing Deckard) 30 years older. The trailers definitely look the part and the original was one of my all time faves and I've seen it over 50 times so far.
The character in the artwork is Colonel Miles Quaritch played by Stephen Lang in the original 2009 Avatar.
I definitely shall have to watch it then. Blade Runner is one of my top ten all time favorites. In fact it's one of the few DVDs that I have. I've got the Ultimate Collection with all five versions and even did a post on them. Do you know when it's due out?
Bladerunner 2049 is due out on 6th October 2017 in the US and, it seems, the rest of the world too. I own the Ultimate Collection too. It was a gift to myself after a small lottery win.
The Colonel was the main bad guy in the movie. He was really good - in a bad way [grin]

OK, he led the corporation's military force, if I remember correctly.

I just checked Netflix. BLADE RUNNER 2049 is listed in the SAVED section, so I put it in my queue.
