good advice... i've found, tho, that almost any statement has diverse interpretations, which makes it a bit more challenging... necessitating a pro-active stance, as it were...
I try not to say anything bad about people. Often this means saying nothing at all but I do prefer to talk about ideas rather than the sometimes annoying habits of the people around me!
agree... but i find it paradoxical that ideas have an existence, often, apart from the originators... although that shouldn't be surprising, i guess; that's the result of language and the media... i do worry about misinterpretation, maybe too much...
Ideas only have an 'independent' existence in people's heads. Even when they're in books they need to be read to 'live' again. Language is a slippery beast and is always open to interpretation - which can be either fun or deadly and all points in between. The only language almost beyond such things is Mathematics.... which is a good thing.
