I actually saw a hummingbird sit still for a second recently. I'd never seen one doing anything but hovering, so spotting one at rest was amazing. I think this one was tired because it and a wasp were fighting over the same feeder, even though there were plenty of spigots to go around.

Fantastic creatures. It must have been interesting seeing one 'compete' with a wasp!
