Interesting, of alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the Sims mods out there I've seen in nearly 20 years of simming, I've never seen one for giving them English sounds. I've seen Pokémon made of dogs and cats; I've seen mods that make Sims turn into sociopaths (with bloody knives and guns to kill the other with); I've seen mods for sexin' and miscarriages and drugs and for turning one's home into a Roman villa. I've personally modded my Sims 2 to make it a western. But I've never seen any audio mods like hat!

(And hah, dig that CRT monitor...)

Never played The Sims. I do like simulation games (LOVED Sim City) but never played that/them..... I'm sure that there's ALL kinds of mods out there [grin]

CRT's are funny these days. I remember them well both @ home and work. Moving them around was SUCH a pain - often literally!

When I was at university, I had to haul my CRT up three flights of stairs -- it was such a pain that I'd just leave my computer at home during the Thanksgiving holiday. The 24" flatscreen I replaced it with wasn't all that lighter, actually, between its width, its internal speakers, and its pivot base that would let me switch between landscape and portrait if I cared to. I'm planning on getting a modern monitor that DOESN'T constitute a weightlift exercise.

Getting rid of CRTs has been a great leap forward as far as I'm concerned. I used to work in IT Support many years ago and I hated the things. Flat screens are so much more user friendly.
