Apparently parts of Kent (not a huge distance away) have the whole months rain in a single day last week. LOTS of rain! But I guess with all that addition moisture in the air (from Global Warming) is has to come down somewhere, right?
We've been trying to get new gutters installed. It's a product called Gutter Helmet that keeps leaves and debris out of the gutters. It's been raining so frequently here in NE Ohio that it has taken forever. Finally, they got most of it installed, except for the helmet part on the back of the house. When it rains hard I just watch the rain roll right past the gutter. 🤣
Your picture reminds me of some man-made lakes in southern Ohio. They basically filled in some valleys, covering trees and all. We canoed there around 35 years ago and I'll never forget paddling above a submerged forest. Eerie and beautiful at the same time.
@ Mike: It seems to be raining heavily in LOTS of places. I understand that they've been having flooding issues in China too. That lake experience does sound truly eerie! I can almost feel the shiver up my spine... [grin]
This picture is from a lake in Austria:
Grüner See (Green Lake) is a lake in Styria, Austria in a village named Tragöß. The lake is surrounded by the Hochschwab Mountains and forests. The name "Green Lake" originated because of its emerald-green water. The clean and clear water comes from the snowmelt from the karst mountains and has a temperature of 6–7 °C (43–45 °F). During winter, the lake is only 1–2 m (3–7 ft) deep and the surrounding area is used as a county park.
