Never seen an allied plane flying with that livery! Yellow makes me think of Focke-Wolks for some reason.

LOL - Certainly not! The days of the Flying Circus where LONG over by 1936.... I just liked the graphic design of the whole thing. It's available in *multiple colours!

I don't know what makes me make that connection -- maybe Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator, 1 or 2. I can't remember which, but I played the demo and remember crashing a yellow German plane over and over again because I had no joystick/gamepad, just keyboard controls..

Flying with a keyboard is HARD! It took me a while to learn to drive a Hummer with one but I got the hang of it eventually. I let my gamer buddy do all the flying though. I was usually on weapons or just hanging on for grim life as he flew through warehouses.... in a helicopter so it wasn't TOO bad... [gulp].

hot plane! i wonder if that was one of Nevil Shute's designs?

It's possible in SOME games. In GTA Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA 5, for instance, I'm quite comfortable doing it. But flight sims are far more...intricate. I'd love to try MS FLight Sim 2020 but I just don't know if I can pry myself from RDR2 & Sims 4. They're very...sticky.

@ Mudpuddle: Apparently Shute worked mostly on airships and secret weapons. He doesn't appear to have had anything to do with the Spitfire design. I have a few books on Spits coming up....

@ Stephen: I know what you mean about 'sticky' games. Half looking for a new one but nothing has caught my eye so far.
