My immune system has already demonstrated that it can kick covid's ass, so I'm not concerned. I am a bit put off by the rampant corporate-government advertising for it, though. :p
@ Mudpuddle: I think I'm the last of my friends to get 'done'.
@ Stephen: Makes sense. No huge need to get vaccinated if the antibodies are already available. But I'm in my 60's (but low risk with no pre-existing etc..) and it's free and organised so.... Makes sense to get my shots.
@ V V: I'm the last of my friends who got the jab (the 2nd one anyway) probably because I booked it so long ago and there wasn't any great rush on my part. No great reaction either time (just a bit of a sore arm ATM). We're expecting to be fully open again from June 31st I think...
@ Mike: Hey Mike! LONG Time.... How's things? Good to see that you made it through the latest apocalypse... [grin] I can understand *some* reluctance to vaccinations. I know people who HATE needles (don't bother me in the least) but there is SO much misinformation going around. EVERY medical procedure carries some risk but NOT getting vaccinated is more risky that getting one. Seems completely logical to me.
So glad you got it! It baffles me how people can refuse to get vaccinated because they think they will be fine if they get COVID. While that may be true, and I also am pretty sure I would be okay, they're not thinking about the people they could pass it on to who might not be so lucky. I can't understand that thinking at all.
And don't even get me started on the psychos who think the government is trying to micro-chip them so their movements can be tracked...these are the same morons who stormed the Capitol, assaulted officers, attempted to destroy our democracy...and carried their smart phones the whole time while doing it.
@ Sarah: The whole 'tracking' thing amuses me muchly. As you say, they're worried about vaccine trackers but are more than happy carrying devices that essentially 'track' their every move. Too bizarre.... Unfortunately that's the world we live in ATM, but I've always maintained that sense is far from common.
It would probably amuse me more if I did not have to live among these people, lol. I'm surprised there has not been a tinfoil shortage in the US, given all the hats they seem to want to wear. So many of those arrested for the assault on the Capitol were verified as having been there via smartphones. Fucking idiots.

Yay! Glad you got it!
Awesome!
Sadly, yes. Too many in the USA ironically call people sheep while acting like deranged sheep.

Aside from the pandemic, things are good. Saturday past was the two-week mark after my wife, and I received our second shots.
Yes, it is the misinformation that I find maddening.

@ Mike: Good to know. LONG may it continue...
