The fifth panel confused me, annnnnd then I remembered the fuss and fury back in the day where people thought turning the thing on would create a black hole and swallow us all whole. XD
Yes, I remember the Press having a field day with that one! Possibly they've been watching too many SF films and didn't understand the risk factors (as well as the often confusing inability of scientists to say that something just can't happen - even if the chance is fantastically small).
yeah... it just dropped about 30 degrees one day and it's been 75-80 ever since... i'll have to write the government a complaining letter, lol. i found out what a "heat dome" is, tho...
