I've thought about this idea a lot, how our very long-ago ancestors might think we are absolutely bonkers for the excitement over discovering their ancient trash heaps. They had no idea how important they are.
Yes! I wonder what trivial things we will leave behind that our descendants will marvel at. You know, if the human race lasts another 1,000 years - which at this rate, it won't.

It does make me smile how archaeologist's get all excited over the most trivial of items that the people who threw them away would never understand!

Well, our rubbish dumps are HUGE (and there's SO many of them) so they'd have LOTS of material to work with!! Plus, agreed on 1000 years. NO CHANCE!
