This is their exact mindset and it baffles me! Well, not really, because it is all about $$$ for them. But literally, best case scenario would be that we are wrong and our planet and our people thrive in the new better world we have made. Worst case scenario, we are right and we will all be dead within 100 years because we destroyed the only thing that could keep us alive.
Yup that about sums it up. Whatever happened to the (very basic) idea that you don't crap in your own nest? It's not like we have somewhere else to go and some way to get there if we did. I was once bizarrely asked why I wanted to make the world a better place. My answer was VERY simple: Because I LIVE here! Unfortunately we're going to have to learn this lesson the hard way...
