And for the massive weather event we're currently in the middle of, there are still people who are going out. Like...wtf? We've received multiple weather alerts that there are no plows, limited emergency services, etc. When MINNESOTA stops the snowplows from going out, you know it's a big deal. All the interstates and county roads are closed, so basically we can go around in town but that's just silly when you've a warm house and tons of books.
Yup, when SNOWPLOWS are getting stuck you don't get in your car and expect to drive 10 miles to the 7-11 for a quart of milk and expect everything to be OK. Of course some people expect just that and are TOTALLY surprised when they break down, get stuck or freeze to death because they're wearing what they had on in their overheated house.

The aount of people who forget how to drive in the winter every single fucking year is alarming.
SO true. Happens here too, or when it rains, or its dark earlier than normal. Not like this shit doesn't happen EVERY year.
EXACTLY! It is literally the same thing every year. Like, omg what do we do, it's dark, aauughh.
I can't even with these idiots.
If the Darwin Awards didn't already exist they'd HAVE to be invented.

I went out for the first time today since Tuesday when we got here. It's -6 with windchill of -30, so we are getting warmer, lol.
