That literally was my first thought before I read your comment. It...can't be real. It HAS to be satire. Right? RIGHT?!

But, given the state of our current world...

Indeed. Who would've thought that having access to the entirety of the worlds knowledge in the palm of your hand *wasn't* the antidote to ignorance....

Hah! They should see my wind & solar-powered dryer out in the back yard. Uses NO electricity.

The signal and the noise, maybe. We have access to the entirety of knowledge, but also to SOOO much distraction!

@ Stephen: I think that the problem (or ONE of them) is that *information* doesn't always, or easily, translate or transform into *knowledge* without effort, intelligence or experience. Of course the other major problem is deciding between 'real' and 'false' information. That isn't just a natural ability that everyone has. Understanding the information you're presented with takes some skill to get the most out of.

@ Marian: I just *cannot* believe that people are really ignorant of the existence sailing ships - either in the past or present. This sort of thing just *has* to be a joke... Unless I want to lose my 'faith' in Humanity *completely* [lol]
