I never had a problem getting my cat to take a pill. I just crushed it up and sprinkled it on her food. She didn't seem to mind. But what I do remember very well is trying to use ear drops on her when she picked up an infection from somewhere. The first time was OK as she had no idea what was coming. The next few times got interesting as I had to sneak up on her and then hold her down while I put the drops in. After that it got REALLY interesting as she ran for the hills if she caught me looking at her meaningfully.... Fun times!

I'm having to give my doll a pill currently, and she's not only reluctant she's resistant -- suddenly very suspicious of her food, and staying away from me rest of the day. XD Fortunately only three more days left.

I presume you meant to type 'dog'.... I'm guessing that dogs have a MUCH better sense of smell than cats. I think that cats are more visual hunters, so there's no surprise that adding a pill to the dogs food would make it suspicious!

Oh, yes. Was typing on phone. Internet is still down at the house, so this is the first time I've been online properly (i.e, in front of a computer as Al Gore intended) since Friday. Fortunately I'm housesitting the next two weeks and have my laptop.

Dog likes milk, so I smashed up her pill and mixed in it. Dog sniffed milk and said "Nope!".

Ah, dogs... [lol] I guess putting it in her food would have the same effect???

Wassup with your Internet? We had a few hours of zero service a few weeks ago but I think they were 'upgrading' or something. Plus a new provider has been elbowing in to the BIG provider here which means fiddling with the main on-ramp, hence service drops. All in the name of 'better' service, of course!

Oh, and when you're house-sitting who is house-sitting *your* house? Of is it like Airbnb and you guys just keep moving around until the music stops? [grin]
