He's likable, but a trickster. BTW, have you seen Dune 2? Some friends invited me to see it, but I declined because I hadn't seen the first half. Really need to get cracking on the novel so I can try out its adaptations. I'm told the Lynch one is trippy.
I'm fond of tricksters... Plus his heart is in the right place which means a lot.
Seeing Dune 2 on Friday. Definitely see part 1 first. It has a LOT of required world building in it. Oh, and I would recommend reading at least the first book first (if you haven't already). You should have plenty time reading the 2nd book before the 3rd movie is made. I'm expecting to re-read the 3rd book later in the year.
The Lynch film is.... interesting. Personally I like it more every time I watch it (I've probably seen it at least 10 times). It gets a *lot* wrong but I appreciated the effort. The Sci-Fi mini series of Dune & Children of Dune are reasonable too. The new movies are *much* closer to the original material though...
I only know about the Lynch film because LGR (LazyGameReviews, my favorite retro tech channel) did a 'review' of the original Dune game, which drew heavily from the lynch film for its aesthetics.
I gave up reading Dune halfway through.. to be fair, it may be a "me" problem and not a problem of the book. I saw the first movie first and it helped my comprehension a lot, but maybe spoiled the book too much? Anyways, planning to see Dune 2 this weekend with the fam. :)
Dune is an *odd* book and I'm never surprised when people struggle with it. Seeing part 2 tomorrow (3:15PM or as we say here 15:15) with my main gaming buddy.

I'm going to vote for Sam, personally. He's a straight shooter.
Bug will *always* get my vote.... No matter what.... He really talks for the Veggies... [grin]
