I like that XD

In all seriousness though, one of the YouTubers I follow took an extended break of upwards of a year and didn't announce anything. I was convinced for a while he had died. :/ Speaking as someone who has done both (made announcements and not), the temptation to just disappear from the overwhelm is really understandable. But despite any official ties to "followers," disappearing can be very distressing to others in ways we don't even know. I wonder if anyone has written on this topic from an ethical standpoint...

I do worry when a Blogger I follow/read regularly just 'vanishes'. A few days might be computer trouble or a quick trip somewhere, a week, maybe two, might be a holiday. After THREE weeks I inevitably start thinking more serious reasons for their absence - but of course people's lives are complicated and they don't really owe their readership explanations - especially when the reasons are of the more personal variety. It's a difficult balancing act.

No doubt a philosophical essay or two has been written on the subject over the years!

You’re the only blogger I still read regularly, though I don’t comment regularly. I worry when I don’t see posts from you. It’s usually illness or gone to visit family.

Thank you.... [grin]

Such a funny idea. Though I have a friend who would hate that. She was once chased by a bear.

I imagine being chased by a bear is *not* FUN!

Certainly not. She really has nightmares about it.
