The House and Workshop of master glassmaker Sterner in Brussels, Belgium, is the former town house and workshop of the master glassworker Clas GrĂ¼ner Sterner. It was designed by the architect Ernest Delune, and built between 1893 and 1902, in Art Nouveau style.
The house is located at 6, rue du Lac/Meerstraat in the municipality of Ixelles, not far from the Ixelles Ponds.
I'm a BIG fan of architecture & Design so LOVE details like this on buildings. I do really like finding idiosyncratic things like this - that most people seem to just walk by and ignore. Of course I have all too often been looked at funny (or dragged away by friends/girlfriends) after taking 10 photographs of a door handle that caught my eye.... [lol]
If you ever get to Brussels, go to the tourist information and get yourself a little map with all the Art Nouveau buildings. It's only about a Euro and so helpful. Enjoy.

This is one of the reasons Brussels is my favourite city. The architecture is just breathtaking.
