Both my gaming friend and I were *most* surprised at a 21% count for the UK. I'd have guessed less than 10% myself or even less. That's assuming the data is correct of course, considering that no date is given here. Plus, I'm rather sceptical about the quality of the data from most of Africa...

The US is quite the outlier. On Britain's rate, could it have something to do with a lot of immigration from higher-circ' areas, specifically Pakistan?
Doubtful I think. Residents of Pakistani origin/descent is less than 3% in England and *much* lower in Scotland, Wales and N Ireland. Having just finished a very good book on Statistics the more I look at the chart the more red flags it presents.
Why is E. Europe blank? Why is Spain shown but not Portugal? Or Eire? Why do some countries have whole numbers while others are shown to an additional decimal place? How were the figures collected? Africa seems VERY suspiciously complete (except for a few gaps) and equally suspiciously detailed. Are records *really* that complete is SUDAN? Can we trust data from North Korea or Iran?

I believe the German one could be correct, although we only have about 6,6% Muslims and the Jews, well, there are not that many left. But there are non-Muslims, of course, that are circumcised, so the number does not seem that exaggerated.
I would think that maybe 11% seems at least reasonable - a total guess though - for the UK. I haven't researched it properly so ALL of my figures are pure guesswork. I did find it interesting seeing this map/chart the first time (and my reaction to it) and then comparing looking at it again *after* reading a book on statistics and how to spot things that seem 'off' in some way.... More later on that!
I know. A lot of statistics seem alright until you try to find the source of the numbers.
