If you don't want bikes on the sidewalks, then make the roads safe for them....and with something more than "sharrows", which are arguably worse than nothing.
Bike lanes here are pretty good I think. Bike riders still get hit from time to time though. My ex-boss used to cycle into work and he had some horrendous stories of cars just ignoring him and almost/actually causing accidents. I've also heard of/seen some bike riders who just ignore both other traffic and any safety signs. I don't think I'd do that when you're comparing a bike helmet to a car that might weigh a ton or more!!
Oh for sure. Being out on a bike and walking trail is one thing, as bikes are expected there. But they need to stay off city sidewalks where they don't belong.

Yes! So fucking annoying when bikers are on the sidewalks.
Especially being SILENT so you've ALWAYS gotta check your six before moving!!
